7 Fun Things To Do In Hertfordshire This February Half Term

There’s a plethora of fantastic things to do, performances to see and free events happening around Hertfordshire to suit all ages. Harpenden Mayor’s Film Matinee: Despicable Me 3

Enjoy the adventures of mischievous Minions and their villainous good guy Gru in this third installment of popular movie series. Harpenden Town Mayor Cllr Rosemary Farmer is putting on a matinee showing of Despicable Me 3 at the Harpenden Public Halls on 10 February at 15.00 in aid of Rennie Grove Hospice Care and the Harpenden Hopper with thanks to the support of the Public Halls.

Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios Tour

If you have a little big Harry Potter fan running around the house they will absolutely love this day out! With breathtaking sets you can walk through, authentic props and costumes on display you are invited to discover the magic of film and stories bound together. This half term, the Studio Tour will be home to some of the original members of the Art Department who will be on hand to demonstrate some of the wide range of film-making techniques that went into bringing your favourite scenes to life, including live wand-making demonstrations!

Half Term Fun at Lee Valley

Whether you’re into cycling, ice-skating, canoeing or simply like walks in beautiful gardens and grounds of Lee Valley Park, there’s plenty going on for all to enjoy.This half-term marks the opening of a special Conservation Week (10th-18th February) with birds of prey exhibitions, meeting the meerkat family, nature crafts and even whizzing down the Alpine Adventure toboggan slope! Wrap up warm, embrace the great outdoors and head to Lee Valley.

Mayhem in the Mad Lab - Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey
